Welcome to our Additional Dwelling Guide, developed with funding from the Kāpiti Coast District Council following a 2026 series of workshops, site visits and local knowledge gathering.
We’re helping you address the need for more affordable and appropriate 1-2 bedroom homes through information and story sharing. It’s a way existing property owners with land to spare can contribute to housing needs.
We want more of our young, elderly, mana whenua and most vulnerable to stay in our village on the Kāpiti Coast, but we also hope these resources help wherever you are.
