The Paekākāriki Housing Trust will be holding it’s AGM on 26 November, St Peters Hall at 11.30am.
Trustees will report on the years activities and the election of Trustees will occur.
Several foundation trustees will be standing down and the Trust is in need of people who can contribute energy and passion to generating more-equitable solutions and affordable housing in our village. You, perhaps or someone in the village you know?
If you would like to serve the Trust as a trustee, or would like to be part of our organising committee, we'd love to see you - the AGM is open to all interested residents.
Otherwise, we invite our community to join us for a shared lunch at 12.30.
At 1pm, the Urban Advisory organisation will facilitate a community discussion around the changes afoot with the new intensification regulations that are coming in. Together we will explore what that is likely to look like in our village given our unique circumstances. They will facilitate conversation where we can explore opportunities for us to influence what that looks like.
The Trust's kaupapa informs some of this but with the new building height allowances (6 storey in
much of Paekākāriki) that are required of council district plans – there is likely to be significant
discussion of the potential impacts on the village.
The Trust has made formal submissions to council on this issue and we will share this with the community at the Hui.
